Pin Up Cosmetics Review
I love discovering new vegan beauty brands (hence VBR’s vbr-y-ness), and when I find products that are handmade and local, I get extra tingly, warm fuzzies. This is the case with Pin Up Cosmetics, an SF-based artisan natural and vegan beauty line with a twist of retro glamour.
Pin Up Cosmetics are 100% vegan, cruelty-free, and non-toxic (free of parabens, synthetic ingredients and harmful chemicals). You can find these cutely packaged goodies in health food stores (like select Whole Foods), boutiques, salons and specialty stores in the US and overseas.
The goods (the ones that I’ve tried, at least):
Refresh-Lavender & Grapefruit Serum – I’ve said it a kazillion times on my blog, and I’ll say it again (because I care about your beautiful, youthful mugs), dont wait until it’s too late to regularly moisturize yo’ face! Don’t do it! If I had known better, I would have been slathering beauty oils on my face in utero. 😉 The only way to keep skin supple and soft (aside from staying out of the sun, not smoking cigarettes, and staying hydrated, etc.) is to MOISTURIZE. Seriously, I slather 3-4 different beauty oils on my face before bed (after cleaning my skin), and this serum has definitely made its way into my beloved collection of nighttime beauty essentials. You just need to smooth a few small drops over your face after cleansing (regularly) to enjoy the benefits. This serum doubles up as aromatherapy, too! This refreshing and calming blend of essential oils is perfect for rebooting and relaxing my busy, monkey mind. 😉
Vegan Cleansing Grains – First of all, LOVE the scent of this cleanser. It’s got oatmeal, kaolin clay, lavender, chamomile, and peppermint, so it smells fresh and floral, earthy and raw. Just mix a teaspoon of product with a little warm water, blend into a paste, and work into your skin. It’s a great way to slough off dead skin cells, dirt, grime, etc.
Which vegan beauty products do you use as part of your nighttime regimen?
